So...you want to know who we are? Who's doing all this traveling to and working in Santa Cruz Baja Verapaz, Guatemala? Well, we're very happy to tell you about us!

We are RWC SIFE!

Roberts Wesleyan College (RWC) is a liberal arts college located in Rochester, New York, and committed to education, service, and spiritual formation. Students in Free Enterprise  (SIFE) is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.

RWC's Undergraduate Business Program's mission statement:
To develop men and women who will model Christ-like character and equip them to transform society through sacrificial service and effective leadership

SIFE International's mission statement:
To bring together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business.

Can you see how closely these two mission statements are aligned? We thought so, too. We are both about leadership and making a difference through service and business, so 8 years ago, the RWC Undergraduate Business Program started our own SIFE team, but our 60-plus members are from all academic disciplines represented at RWC. We value the unique skill-sets acquired through each discipline. We think it makes us a stronger, more effective team and adds to the depth of our projects.

We have been nationally ranked within the top 20 teams all 8 years, currently 16th out of over 600 teams across America. The ranking is great, but the difference our team is making, both locally and internationally, is what's important. The Guatemala Project is one of more than 16 projects conducted in 2009-2010, and it's our longest running project.
